Josep Tapiró i Baró est un peintre espagnol né à Reus, le 7 février 1836 et mort à Tanger le 4 octobre 1913. Il est connu pour ses aquarelles représentant des portraits des habitants de Tanger. Il étudie le dessin et la peinture en compagnie de son ami d'enfance Mariano Fortuny à Barcelone sous la direction de Domingo Soberano.
